Chickpeas are great. They are cheap, nutritious, tasty, and extremely versatile.

Smokey Paprika Chickpeas

  • 15 oz. Can Chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • 1 tsp cooking oil, (I used grapeseed)

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

  • 1/2 tsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp liquid smoke (optional)

  • Salt and Pepper to taste


  • Toss all ingredients together in a bowl
  • Sauté the chickpeas on medium-high heat for about 5-6 minutes in a skillet. You can also roast them in an oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
  • Serve over a salad or on it’s own. Enjoy!
