Easy Cheesy AF Vegan Pesto

  • 2 cups tightly packed basil leaves (enough from a 4oz. Container)

  • 2-3 garlic cloves, roasted (you can just put them in raw too)

  • Juice from 1/2 lemon

  • 1/2 cup pine nuts, slightly roasted, (slivered almonds or walnuts would work too)

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast

  • 1 tbsp white miso (or one more tbsp nutritional yeast)

  • 2-3 tbsp water, add gradually to get desired consistency

  • Pinch of Salt and pepper, to taste


  • Add all ingredients, except the water, into a food processor or blender.
  • Blend the ingredients to a desired consistency, slowly adding the water to achieve a smooth but still somewhat thick paste.
